UAE: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has shared a heartfelt message praising UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his leadership and contributions to the country.
Addressing Sheikh Mohamed as his “brother, friend and companion on life’s journey,” Sheikh Mohammed described the UAE President as a wise leader and a man of principle whose leadership has earned respect both at home and around the world.
He highlighted Sheikh Mohamed’s contributions to education, economic development, national stability and youth empowerment, while also reflecting on his role in carrying forward the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed.
A Nation Where Children Can Dream
One of the most personal parts of the message focused on the safety and aspirations of children in the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed described a young girl leaving home for school with a sense of security, walking through organised streets and seeing signs of a country that has reached space and continues to pursue greater achievements.
He said the ability of children to dream confidently and look towards a bright future reflects the success and responsibility of the nation’s leadership.
“Instilling confidence, security and optimism in the hearts of our children is your greatest achievement, my brother,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
Education and Economic Growth
Sheikh Mohammed also praised the UAE President’s focus on education, describing it as a national priority and a key foundation for determining the country’s position in the world.
He highlighted Sheikh Mohamed’s role in transforming the UAE’s wealth into new economic sectors and future industries, strengthening the country’s ability to create opportunities for generations to come.
According to Sheikh Mohammed, these efforts have helped make the UAE more resilient, forward-looking and prepared to face future challenges.
‘The Spirit of the Nation’
Beyond economic growth, infrastructure and business development, Sheikh Mohammed said the true strength of a country lies in its national spirit — the force that brings people together, maintains stability and inspires future generations.
He described Sheikh Mohamed as an embodiment of that spirit, saying the people unite around his leadership and work together to protect the country’s future.
“Hearts unite around you, people move forward behind you, and you safeguard the nation’s borders,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
Continuing Sheikh Zayed’s Legacy
Sheikh Mohammed reflected on the lessons of history, noting that nations and civilisations can decline when they stop evolving and become satisfied with past achievements.
He said Sheikh Mohamed inherited a strong nation from the late Sheikh Zayed but chose to continue developing it rather than simply relying on what previous generations had built.
Under his leadership, Sheikh Mohammed said, the UAE has strengthened its stability, diversified its economy, expanded international relationships and pursued new frontiers in knowledge, innovation and human development.
Investing in Future Generations
The Dubai Ruler also emphasised the importance of investing in people and ensuring that young generations understand the responsibility that comes with prosperity.
He said Sheikh Mohamed had encouraged young people to recognise that the UAE’s achievements are not privileges to be taken for granted, but a responsibility and honour that must be protected and developed.
The country’s younger generation, he said, must build on the achievements of those who came before them and ensure that the nation’s progress continues.
A Responsibility to the Future
Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE President carries the trust of the nation’s children, along with their hopes and aspirations.
He highlighted the responsibility of building a generation capable of carrying the UAE’s journey forward while preserving its legacy.
“We bear witness that you are fulfilling it,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
He added that he and the people of the UAE stand with Sheikh Mohamed on this journey, which he said will be remembered by future generations and recorded by history.
