Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has added 800 new taxis to its transport network to meet rising demand at Zayed International Airport and improve connectivity for arriving passengers.
The expansion was announced by the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Airports.
500 Luxury Taxis Added for Airport Passengers
Of the 800 additional vehicles, 500 are luxury taxis dedicated to airport passengers. The new vehicles are expected to provide greater availability during peak travel periods and offer passengers more transport choices after arriving in the capital.
300 More Taxis Added Across Abu Dhabi
Another 300 taxis have been added to the wider Abu Dhabi city network.
These vehicles will also support increased demand for journeys to and from Zayed International Airport, particularly during busy travel periods.
The expansion is expected to improve taxi availability at the airport and make onward journeys smoother for passengers travelling to destinations across Abu Dhabi.
The move comes as authorities continue to strengthen public transport options and accommodate growing passenger demand at the capital’s international airport.
